Greetings, Carlile Families!

This is Mrs. Slaughter with our Game Plan for the week of Monday, September 7th-Friday, September 11th:

We had a a very successful first week of school. A HUGE thank you to all of our WONDERFUL CARLILE STAFF, PARENTS and STUDENTS for making it a GREAT week!

There will be no school on Monday, September 7th due to the Labor Day Holiday.  School will resume on Tuesday, September 8th.

Parents, just a reminder of our school hours--Monday-Thursday 8:30 a.m.-3:40 p.m. Fridays 8:30 a.m.-2:05 p.m.  Students are allowed to enter their classroom beginning at 8:20 a.m. but must enter the designated classroom door. These designated classroom doors are as follows: Kindergarten will enter through the kindergarten doors on the Lincoln side of the building. Students in grades 1st, 4th and 6th and Ms. Cira's 2nd grade class will enter through the doors on the Harrison side of the building. Students in 2nd, 3rd and 5th grade will enter through the doors on the Lincoln side of the building. We will not be allowing students to enter through the front doors. Please do not drop off your child any earlier than 8:20 a.m. as there is no adult supervision before 8:20 a.m. Please see your child's teacher with any questions.  Thank you for your support in getting your student to school ON TIME and then picking up your child at dismissal time and no earlier.  We believe that every minute counts in your child's education.  We request that if possible, you schedule appointments after the school day.  We appreciate your support.

Parents, you are welcome to send your child with a cold or frozen water bottle to use throughout the school day. They will be allowed to use it during the school day.

Here at Carlile, safety is our number one priority. We are asking all parents and guardians to please use caution when driving. We ask that you please utilize our crosswalks when crossing the street. We also request that you do not drop off your child in the street and have them walk across. We have a drop off and pick up loop in the back of our building. The front of the building is reserved for school buses. We ask that you do not park directly in front of the building so our students who ride the bus can get off and on the bus safely.

We are looking forward to another great week at the BEST school in town and remember....Every Child, Every Day, We are Carlile Champions!
