Hello, Carlile Families!
Here is our Game Plan for the Week of Monday, January 26th-Friday, January 30th:
On Monday, January 26th there will be no school for students due to a Teacher Work Day. School will resume on Tuesday, January 27th.
This is a very busy week at our school. You can also find our events listed on our calendar on our website.
On Tuesday, January 27th, Carlile will be hosting a K-6 Parent Night. This Parent Night will begin at 5:30 p.m. and parents will report to their student's classroom. Expectations for second semester will be reviewed and 2nd quarter report cards will be distributed. We hope to see you there!
Our PTO will be having a popcorn sale this week. Orders will be taken beginning Tuesday and popcorn will be distributed on Thursday afternoon. Popcorn is only 50 cents per bag and all money raised will go toward providing more technology in our building. Thank you for supporting our PTO!
On Thursday, January 29th, we will be holding our 1st semester Award Assemblies. Notification has been sent home with students who will be receiving awards. The Awards Assembly for grades 3-6 will begin at 1:40 and the Awards Assembly for grades Kindergarten-2nd grade will begin at 2:20. Both assemblies will be held in the Carlile Gymnasium.
There will be no school for Kindergarten students only this Friday, January 30th.
Scholastic book Fair will begin on on Tuesday, January 27th and end on Friday, January 30th. Preview book catalogs were sent home on Friday, Jan. 23rd. The Book Fair will be open in the Media Center from 8:00 a.m.-3:30 Tues through Friday. The Book Fair will be open during Parent Night from 5:30-6:30pm. The theme this time is Non-Fiction Books.
Reading for Education, formerly Mr. Earl, packets were sent home on Friday, January 23rd. Please look over them and fill out completely will names of friends and family. Once the packets are filled out completely, return them to the school. All packets are due to the school on Friday January 30th.
Students that return a completely filled out booklet will receive a prize. The class with the most complete booklets will receive a remote control robot for a class drawing.
All proceeds from both events will go toward new books for the media center and more technology for the school.
We are looking forward to a WONDERFUL week at Carlile and remember...WE ARE ALL ON THE SAME TEAM!
