Good evening, Carlile Families!
Here is our Game Plan for the week of Monday, February 16th-Friday, February 20th:
There will be no school on Monday, February 16th due to the holiday. School will resume on Tuesday, February 17th.
Beginning on Tuesday, February 17th, students will report to their classrooms when they arrive at school between 7:50 and 8:00 a.m. We will be doing this on a daily basis beginning this Tuesday. School will still begin at 8:00 a.m. each day, but instead of students waiting in line to come into the building between 7:50-8:00 everyday, kindergarten-6th grade students will report to their classrooms where they will get a head start on classwork. Students should enter through the following doors: Kindergarten will enter through kindergarten doors (Lincoln side of the building), students in grades 1st, 5th and 6th grade will enter the door on the Harrison side of the building and students in grades 2nd, 3rd and 4th grade will enter the door on the Lincoln side of the building. No students should enter the front door unless they are a bus student or if it is after 8:00 a.m. There will be teachers at these doors who will let students in the building beginning at 7:50 a.m. Students should be familiar with the doors they enter as teachers practiced with them last week. There will still be no supervision prior to 7:50 a.m. so we ask that you do not drop off your student any earlier than 7:50 a.m.
Wednesday, February 18th is a P.T.O. Casual Pass Day. Students will be allowed to wear the clothing of their choice as long as it is within district dress code for only $1.00. All money will go toward purchasing more technology for our classrooms. P.T.O. appreciates all of your support!
Our fifth grade class will be traveling to Beulah on Thursday, February 19th. Please see Ms. Judiscak with any questions or concerns.
Thursday, February 19th from 6:00-7:30 is our third quarter Family Night! Please join us for an evening of history and story telling! Our evening begins at 6:00 p.m. with music and registration. We will also have a special photo booth for families in the cafeteria. You will receive a special treat for participating in our Family Night! You will also have a chance to win a prize! You don't want to miss out! This is going to be a great evening! We hope to see you there!
Parents if you do not already have parent portal access please stop by the office and sign up. This is a wonderful tool...you can look at your students grades, attendance and also assignments. You will also have a chance to sign up for Parent Portal at our Family Night on Thursday, February 19th. You will also need this if you are planning on doing a choice application. Choice applications will close on Feb. 23rd.
We are looking forward to a TERRIFIC week at the BEST School in Pueblo and remember... WE ARE ALL ON THE SAME TEAM!
