Hello, Carlile Families! 

Here are the events and information for the week of Monday, November 13th-Friday, November 17th: 

Wildcats, don't forget the Book Fair!  It will be open through this Tuesday November 14th and the online ordering is running through November 26th.  We hope to see you there.  

Also, the Media Center is selling the student I.D's in the media center for $1. Feel free to come in and get one or send money with your child. 

On Thursday, November 16th, we will be having our 4th grade musical performance beginning at 5:30 p.m.  in the auditorium.  Please see Ms. Dupler with any questions or concerns. 

There will be no school for preschool only on Thursday, November 16th. 

We are collecting Box Tops to earn money for our school! Please send any box tops that you have with your child and help us earn money for our school. All you need to do is cut box tops off participating products and send them to school with your child! Thank you for your support of our school!

Our school hours are Monday-Thursday 8:00 a.m.-3:10 p.m. and 8:00 a.m.-1:35 p.m. on Fridays.

Parents, we ask that you do not drop off your child prior to 7:50 a.m. as there is no adult supervision prior to that time. Thank you for helping us keep all of our students safe.

COMING SOON:  There will be no school Monday, November 20th-Friday, November 24th due to the Thanksgiving Break.

Week of November 6th-November 10th:

Hello, Carlile Families! 

Here are the events and information for the week of Monday, November 6th-Friday, November 10th: 

Our book fair is here! We will have our book fair from November 6th to November 14th.  This year we will have our online book fair open as well.  Online ordering with go through November 26th.  Please come in to our media center and check it out.  We are excited to see you all here. 

There will be no school for students on Thursday, November 9th due to Parent/Teacher Conferences.  By now, you should have received a time for your child's conference.  If you have not received a time to attend your child's conference, please contact the office.  Parents, we appreciate your support and look forward to seeing you at your child's conference.  

Pueblo City Schools will host a  Pride and Patriotism Ceremony on Thursday, November 9th.  All students and staff are invited. It will take place at Memorial Hall beginning at 6:00 p.m.  

Also, School IDs will be on sale in the Media Center for only $1.00.  All money will go toward raising more money to purchase items for our Media Center.

Week of Monday, October 30th-Friday, November 3rd:

Hello, Carlile Families! 

Here are the events and information for the week of Monday, October 30th-Friday, November 3rd: 

On Tuesday, October 31st, we will be having a Halloween Parade beginning at 8:20 a.m.  Our parade will be near the baseball field on the Harrison and Routt side of the building. Students should wear their costume to school on Tuesday morning and remain in costume for the entire day.  Costumes need to be appropriate for a school setting, with pretend guns, swords, blood, or other pretend weapons, etc. reserved for your home parties only. No pretend weapons (such as light sabers or toy guns) fake blood or masks will be allowed. Halloween parties will begin no earlier than 2:40 p.m.  Thank you for your cooperation as we will be having a normal instructional day outside of the parade and party.  Also, please remember that homemade treats are not allowed. Treats should be prepackaged and store bought. Thank you in advance for your cooperation.  

Parent/Teacher Conference Day is Thursday, November 9th and there will be no school for students on that day.  You should be receiving an appointment time to meet with your child's teacher.

Week of Monday, October 23rd-Friday, October 27th:

Hello, Carlile Wildcat Families! 

This is a friendly reminder that this week is Fall Break.  There will be no school for students beginning Monday, October 23rd-Friday, October 27th.  School will resume on Monday, October 30th.  

If you ordered school pictures, they were sent home on Thursday.  

Students will be allowed to wear Halloween costumes on Tuesday, October 31st.  The Halloween parade will take place beginning at 8:20 a.m.  Classroom Halloween parties will begin no earlier than 2:40 p.m.  Costumes should be school appropriate with no fake guns, knives, swords or blood.  Also, we are asking that no masks be worn.  

We hope you have a wonderful Fall Break and we will see you on Monday, October 30th at 8:00 a.m.

Our PTO Kickoff is this Wednesday, October 11th at 3:30.  PTO stands for Parent Teacher Organization where parents and teachers work together to support our students! We hope you are able to come to our Kickoff meeting this 
Wednesday! 

The Carlile Staff would like to thank you all for your support of our Carlile Walkathon.  We are in the process of determining prizes and will be getting those prizes to the appropriate students very soon.

Walkathon Reminder

Hello, Carlile Families! 

This is a reminder that tomorrow is the Carlile Walkathon.  All money will be due no later than 8:00 a.m. to your child's teacher.  Kindergarten will be completing their Walkathon at the school.  First-fifth grade students will be walking to Dutch Clark Stadium.  We will be leaving Carlile no later than 8:45 a.m. and will return at 10:00 a.m.  Please remember that students should bring a jacket and appropriate walking shoes.  Please contact your child's teacher with any questions or concerns. 

Also, this is a reminder that the Pueblo City Schools Peace Summit will take place this Saturday, October 7th at the State Fair Events Center beginning at 10:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m.  All schools will be participating.

Hello, Carlile Families!

Here are the events and information for the week of Monday, October 2nd-Friday, October 6th:

Monday, October 2nd is a FREE Casual Pass Day for all staff and students in attendance. It is extremely important that students are here all day and are on time!

Friday, October 6th is our annual Carlile Walkathon. You can help our school earn money while having fun and participating in this fun physical activity! Collect donations and earn exciting prizes!! All donations are due by 8:30 A.M. Friday, October 6, 2017. Our Walkathon will take place on Friday, October 6th and we will be walking to Dutch Clark Stadium at 8:45. First-fifth grade students will be walking to Dutch Clark Stadium and kindergarten students will be completing their Walkathon on the Carlile Playground. All donations will go right back to our students! We are raising money for more technology in our building. If you have any questions, please contact your child's teacher.

Pueblo City Schools will be hosting a Peace Summit on Saturday, October 7th from 10:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. at the Colorado State Fair Events Center. There will be school exhibits, school performances and a free t-shirt to all in attendance while supplies last. We will be doing a drawing for a FREE CASUAL Pass for all Carlile students in attendance.

Carlile Wildcats have kicked off our Kindness Campaign. To show our kindness, Carlile students will be collecting change to help the victims of the hurricanes. The money will be donated to the American Red Cross. Money will be collected until October 4th. Remember...as CATS, we accept and respect. Please contact your child's teacher with any questions or concerns.

Week of Monday, September 25th-Friday, September 29th:

Here are the events and information for the week of Monday, September 25th-Friday, September 29th: 

Tuesday, September 26th is Picture Day!  Students may dress up for Picture Day.  Please return all forms on Tuesday.  

There will no school for preschool only on Thursday, September 28th. 

PTO will be selling popcorn this week.  Teachers will be collecting popcorn money and popcorn will be distributed on Friday.  Popcorn is only 50 cents per bag and all money raised goes to help with purchasing more technology in our building.

Hello, Carlile Families! 

Here are the events and information for the week of Monday, September 18th-Friday, September 22nd: 

Our Title 1 Family Zoo Night will take place this Thursday, September 21st beginning at 5:00 p.m. at the Pueblo Zoo.  A flyer was sent home last week.  All families will need to sign in at our Carlile Table.  Admission to the Pueblo Zoo is free for all Carlile students and their immediate family. We hope to see you there!  

Also, EVERY FRIDAY is a PTO Casual Pass Day!  Students may purchase a Casual Pass for one dollar to wear the clothing of their choice as long as it is within district dress code.  Students not purchasing a Casual Pass should be in the regular Carlile Uniform.   Please see your teacher with any questions or concerns.
