Here are the events and information for the week of Monday, September 25th-Friday, September 29th: 

Tuesday, September 26th is Picture Day!  Students may dress up for Picture Day.  Please return all forms on Tuesday.  

There will no school for preschool only on Thursday, September 28th. 

PTO will be selling popcorn this week.  Teachers will be collecting popcorn money and popcorn will be distributed on Friday.  Popcorn is only 50 cents per bag and all money raised goes to help with purchasing more technology in our building.  

Carlile Wildcats have kicked off our Kindness Campaign.  To show our kindness, Carlile students will be collecting change to help the victims of the hurricanes.  The money will be donated to the American Red Cross. Money will be collected until October 4th.  Remember...as CATS, we accept and respect.  Please contact your child's teacher with any questions or concerns. 

Also, EVERY FRIDAY is a PTO Casual Pass Day! Students may purchase a Casual Pass for one dollar to wear the clothing of their choice as long as it is within district dress code. Students not purchasing a Casual Pass should be in the regular Carlile Uniform. Please see your teacher with any questions or concerns.

Our school hours are Monday-Thursday 8:00 a.m.-3:10 p.m. and 8:00 a.m.-1:35 p.m. on Fridays.

Parents, we ask that you do not drop off your child prior to 7:50 a.m. as there is no adult supervision prior to that time. Thank you for helping us keep all of our students safe.

Hello, Carlile Families! 

Here are the events and information for the week of Monday, September 18th-Friday, September 22nd: 

Our Title 1 Family Zoo Night will take place this Thursday, September 21st beginning at 5:00 p.m. at the Pueblo Zoo.  A flyer was sent home last week.  All families will need to sign in at our Carlile Table.  Admission to the Pueblo Zoo is free for all Carlile students and their immediate family. We hope to see you there!

Fifth grade students will be traveling to Beulah on Tuesday, September 12th.  Please contact Ms. Hart with any questions or concerns.

We also have some GREAT news to share with you!  Carlile is now a PERFORMANCE school!  We are pleased to announce that the Colorado Department of Education has officially rated Carlile Elementary a Performance School.  The rating is based upon PARCC/CMAS Assessment results in Reading, Math and Science.  Performance is the highest achievement that a school can receive from the Colorado Department of Education.  Congratulations to our students and staff at Carlile!

Assessment Days--This Thursday and Friday

Hello, Carlile Families, 

This is just a quick reminder that we are having Assessment Days this Thursday, August 31st  and Friday, September 1st, for students in kindergarten-5th grade.   Please be sure your child is signed up for one session.  They will only attend one session.  The sessions are as follows:  Thursday 8:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m., Thursday 12:00 p.m.-3:00 p.m. and Friday 8:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m..  We will not be serving lunch on these days and busing will not be available.   We will be doing a drawing for state fair tickets for students who attend their session.  

Please contact your child's teacher or school office if you have any questions or concerns.

Hello, Carlile Wildcats! 

Here are the events and information for the week of Monday, August 28th-Friday, September 1st. 

We had a wonderful first week!  We look forward to an AWESOME school year!  

Here are reminder of our school hours: 

Monday-Thursday 8:00 a.m.-3:10 p.m. 

Fridays 8:00 a.m.-1:35 p.m.  
Please do not drop off your child any earlier than 7:50 a.m. as there is no adult supervision prior to that time.  Thank you for your support in keeping all students safe.  

This Thursday and Friday are our Assessment Days.  You should have signed up for one session.  The sessions are as follows:  Thursday, August 31st 8:00-11:00, Thursday, August 31st 12:00-3:00 and Friday, September 1st 8:00-11:00.  Students will only attend one of these sessions.  Lunch will not be served and busses will not be transporting students on this day.  We will be serving breakfast to those students who attend the 8:00 session.  If you have not received a day and time, please contact your child's teacher as soon as possible or feel free to contact our office at 549-7520.

WEEK OF MONDAY, AUGUST 21st-FRIDAY, AUGUST 25th:

Hello, Carlile Wildcats! 

This is Mrs. Slaughter, Principal of Carlile Elementary School, with an important message.  This is an important reminder that Monday,  August 21st is our Back to School Open House Night.  This evening will begin at 5:30 p.m.-7:00 p.m.  We will be meeting in the gymnasium and then moving to classrooms. Embroidery Plus and the Pueblo Library will be here as well.   It is extremely important that you attend as you will be able to hear important information regarding the 2017-2018 School Year.  You will also have an opportunity to sign up for our Assessment Days which will be held next week.  

School begins Tuesday , August 22nd.  School begins at 8:00 a.m.  Our school hours are as follows:  Monday-Thursday 8:00 a.m.-3:10 p.m.  Fridays 8:00 a.m.-1:35 p.m.  Students will be allowed to bring a water bottle to school.  Kindergarten students will enter through the kindergarten doors on the Lincoln side of the building.  1st and 4th grade students will enter on the Harrison side of the building and 2nd, 3rd and 5th grade students will enter on the Lincoln side of the building.  

We are looking forward to seeing you very soon!

WELCOME TO THE NEW SCHOOL YEAR!

Hello, Carlile Wildcats! 

This is Mrs. Slaughter, Principal of Carlile Elementary School with an important message.  The beginning of the 2017-2018 school year is quickly approaching!   I would like to provide you with important information as you prepare for the beginning of the school year. 

We will hold our Back to School Open House Night on Monday, August 21st beginning at 5:30 p.m.-7:00 p.m.   We will begin in the gymnasium and then move to classrooms after that.  It is so important that you attend this important evening as students will be able to meet their new teacher and parents will be signing up for our Assessment Days. Embroidery Plus will be here selling Carlile uniform shirts and the Pueblo Library will be here to provide important information as well.  You will also be able to sign up for our Parent Portal and learn about volunteer opportunities.  

The first day of this school year will be Tuesday, August 22nd.  Our school hours are 8:00 a.m.-3:10 p.m. Monday-Thursday and 8:00 a.m.-1:35 p.m. on Fridays.

Week of Monday, June 5th-Tuesday, June 6th:

Good evening, Carlile Families! 

Here are the events and information for Monday, June 5th-Tuesday, June 6th: 

On Monday, June 5th, 2nd-5th grade students in the top 100 for the Vocabulary Challenge will be attending the field trip to the Denver Zoo.  Students who are in the top 100 received a field trip form and submitted it last week.  Students going to the Denver Zoo should arrive no later than 7:45 a.m.  They will be served breakfast at 7:45 and the bus will be leaving at 8:00 a.m.  Students do not need to bring a lunch and should be wearing their Carlile shirt and good walking shoes.  Please bring a plastic water bottle or two, if possible.  Students will be returning at 5:30 p.m. and should be picked up on time. Students will not be allowed to walk home.  

It is a normal school day for students not attending the field trip and students should be in attendance the entire day.  

Our Kindergarten Celebration will be held on Monday, June 5th beginning at 6:00 p.m.  in the Carlile Gym.  Please contact Mrs. Curro, Mrs. Payne or Mrs. Lane with any questions or concerns .

Tuesday, June 6th is our last day of school and our Carlile Field Day!  Field Day begins at 9:15 a.m.-12:15 p.m.  STUDENTS DO NOT HAVE TO WEAR their SCHOOL UNIFORM.  STUDENTS in grades 1-5 SHOULD HAVE SWIM SUITS/TRUNKS UNDER CASUAL CLOTHES, TENNIS/SHOES WITH STRAPS, SUNGLASSES, A HAT, AND SUNSCREEN.  If you have any questions about Field Day, please contact Ms. Golob.  

We will also be having a Fundraising Kickball Game on Tuesday.   This will be Staff versus our 5th grade students.  The cost to attend the kickball game is $1.00. 

Yearbooks will be distributed on Tuesday afternoon to students who purchased one and students will have the opportunity to get them signed on Tuesday afternoon.  

Report cards will also be distributed on Tuesday afternoon.  

The last day of school for students is this Tuesday, June 6th and students will be dismissed at regular time--3:40 p.m.  

As we enter our last week of school, I want to thank you all for your support of our AWESOME school! We cannot do it without you!  We wish our 5th grade students the best of luck as they enter middle school next school year.  Please be sure we have your correct phone number as we will be communicating via School Messenger as the next school year gets closer with important information regarding the new school year.

Good evening, Carlile Families! 

Here are the events and information for the week of Monday, May 29th-Friday, June 2nd: 

There will be no school tomorrow, Monday, May 29th due to the Memorial Day Holiday.  School will resume on Tuesday, May 30th at 8:30 a.m. 

Tuesday, May 30th is the Elementary Excellence Award Ceremony for fourth and fifth grade students who received an invitation.  Please see your child's teacher or Mrs. Florez with any questions. 

Wednesday, May 31st is our 1st grade Awards Assembly beginning at 8:45 a.m. Your first grade student should have received an invitation or letter if they will be receiving an award.   Please see 1st grade teachers with any questions. 

Our 4th grade Poetry Night is this Wednesday, May 31st, beginning at 6:00 p.m.  Please see Ms. Serna or Ms. Conner with any questions or concerns. 

Thursday, June 1st, we will be holding our 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th grade Award Assemblies.  Students should have received a letter, note, or invitation if they will be receiving a award.  If you have any questions, please see your child's teacher.  

Third grade Awards-8:45 a.m. 
2nd grade Awards-10:15 a.m. 
4th grade Awards-12:30 p.m. 
5th grade Awards-2:30 p.m. 

The Carlile Talent Show will be held on Thursday, June 1st at 6:00 p.m. in the Carlile Auditorium.  

Our College and Career Day will be held on Friday, June 2nd.  Please see Mrs. Florez or Ms. Lopez with any questions.
