Winter Break Reminder

Hello, Carlile Families! 

There will be no school beginning  Monday, December 18th-Tuesday, January 2nd due to Winter Break.  School will resume on Wednesday, January 3rd at 8:00 a.m.

Hello, Carlile Families! 

Here are the events and information for the week of Monday, January 15th-Friday, January 19th: 

There will be no school on Monday, January 15th due to the holiday.  School will resume on Tuesday, January 16th at 8:00 a.m. 

Our school hours are Monday-Thursday 8:00 a.m.-3:10 p.m. and Fridays 8:00 a.m.-1:35 p.m.

Preschool will be going to the zoo on Wednesday, January 17th.  Please contact Preschool Staff with any questions or concerns. 

Parents, we ask that you do not drop off your child prior to 7:50 a.m. as there is no adult supervision prior to that time. 
We are also asking all to please be aware of student safety at all times. We respectfully ask that you please drop off your students at the curb and not in the street as well as please do not block our crosswalk areas. Thank you for helping us keep all of our students safe.

We want to remind you that we also have a Facebook Page. We are listed under Carlile School. You can check there for weekly messages as well as our website. To get to our website, please go to the Pueblo City Schools website and click schools and then click on Carlile. You will not only find our weekly message there, but we also have a calendar with upcoming events.

The Media Center is selling student I.D's in the media center for $1. Feel free to come in and get one or send money with your child.

We are collecting Box Tops to earn money for our school! Please send any box tops that you have with your child and help us earn money for our school. All you need to do is cut box tops off participating products and send them to school with your child! Thank you for your support of our school!

COMING SOON: Next Monday, January 22nd, there will be no school for students as it is a Teacher Workday.

Hello, Carlile Wildcat Families! 

Here are the events and information for the week of Monday, December 11th-Friday, December 15th: 

Thursday, December 14th is our school wide Polar Express Day.  Your child is welcome to wear school appropriate pajamas for the occasion.  Your child should still wear regular school shoes to school, but they may bring slippers to wear in the classroom.  

Also, on Thursday, December 14th, students will be dismissed at 2:00 p.m.  The purpose of this early release is so students and staff can attend the Bessemer area Christmas party at Bessemer Elementary School.  The party begins at 2:00 p.m.  Please look for an informational flyer that will come home soon with your child.

On Friday, December 15th, there will be no school for students.  The only students who will need to attend are those students who have not completed the mid year assessments.  Your child's teacher will let you know if your child will need to attend.  

A letter from the media center was sent home to students who currently have overdue books on their account. Please have your child return these books to the media by December 13th.

The Media Center is selling student I.D's in the media center for $1. Feel free to come in and get one or send money with your child.

Hello, Carlile Wildcats! 

Here is the information and events for the week of Monday, December 4th-Friday, December 8th: 

On Monday, December 4th, fifth grade students will be going on a field trip to Beulah.  Please be sure to bring a coat, gloves, hat and wear walking shoes.  Students will also need to bring a sack lunch.  

Our 2nd grade students will be holding their musical performance this Thursday, December 7th at 5:15 in the Carlile Auditorium.  

Also, on Thursday, December 7th, we will be holding our Family Night Science Night beginning at 6:00 p.m.  Kindergarten-2nd grade students and their families will be completing edible science experiments in the cafeteria.  Third-fifth grade students will be holding their Science Fair in the Gymnasium.  Our choir students will be singing at the front of the building as families enter our Family Night beginning at 5:50 p.m.  We have so many fun activities planned for the evening of December 7th.  We hope you will join us!

COMING SOON:

I want to let you know in advance that there will be an early dismissal at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 14th. This will allow students and their families to attend a Holiday event at Bessemer Elementary School which begins at 2:00 p.m. that day. Please look for an informational flyer that will come home soon with your student. Also, we will have a district wide Assessment Day on Friday, December 15th. If your child has not completed the the required middle of year assessments by that time, they will be required to come in during a scheduled time.

Wildcats, don't forget the Book Fair!  It will be open through this Tuesday November 14th and the online ordering is running through November 26th.  We hope to see you there.  

Also, the Media Center is selling the student I.D's in the media center for $1. Feel free to come in and get one or send money with your child.

Hello, Carlile Families! 

Here are the events and information for the week of Monday, November 6th-Friday, November 10th: 

Our book fair is here! We will have our book fair from November 6th to November 14th.  This year we will have our online book fair open as well.  Online ordering with go through November 26th.  Please come in to our media center and check it out.  We are excited to see you all here. 

There will be no school for students on Thursday, November 9th due to Parent/Teacher Conferences.  By now, you should have received a time for your child's conference.  If you have not received a time to attend your child's conference, please contact the office.  Parents, we appreciate your support and look forward to seeing you at your child's conference.  

Pueblo City Schools will host a  Pride and Patriotism Ceremony on Thursday, November 9th.  All students and staff are invited. It will take place at Memorial Hall beginning at 6:00 p.m.  

Also, School IDs will be on sale in the Media Center for only $1.00.  All money will go toward raising more money to purchase items for our Media Center.

Hello, Carlile Families! 

Here are the events and information for the week of Monday, October 30th-Friday, November 3rd: 

On Tuesday, October 31st, we will be having a Halloween Parade beginning at 8:20 a.m.  Our parade will be near the baseball field on the Harrison and Routt side of the building. Students should wear their costume to school on Tuesday morning and remain in costume for the entire day.  Costumes need to be appropriate for a school setting, with pretend guns, swords, blood, or other pretend weapons, etc. reserved for your home parties only. No pretend weapons (such as light sabers or toy guns) fake blood or masks will be allowed. Halloween parties will begin no earlier than 2:40 p.m.  Thank you for your cooperation as we will be having a normal instructional day outside of the parade and party.  Also, please remember that homemade treats are not allowed. Treats should be prepackaged and store bought. Thank you in advance for your cooperation.  

Parent/Teacher Conference Day is Thursday, November 9th and there will be no school for students on that day.  You should be receiving an appointment time to meet with your child's teacher.

Hello, Carlile Wildcat Families! 

This is a friendly reminder that this week is Fall Break.  There will be no school for students beginning Monday, October 23rd-Friday, October 27th.  School will resume on Monday, October 30th.  

If you ordered school pictures, they were sent home on Thursday.  

Students will be allowed to wear Halloween costumes on Tuesday, October 31st.  The Halloween parade will take place beginning at 8:20 a.m.  Classroom Halloween parties will begin no earlier than 2:40 p.m.  Costumes should be school appropriate with no fake guns, knives, swords or blood.  Also, we are asking that no masks be worn.  

We hope you have a wonderful Fall Break and we will see you on Monday, October 30th at 8:00 a.m.

Our PTO Kickoff is this Wednesday, October 11th at 3:30.  PTO stands for Parent Teacher Organization where parents and teachers work together to support our students! We hope you are able to come to our Kickoff meeting this
