Carlile Elementary receives CDE Centers of Excellence Award
The Colorado Department of Education (CDE) has announced that Carlile Elementary School has been selected to receive a Centers of Excellence Award. Beginning this year, the Centers of Excellence Awards will be distributed annually to those schools in the state that demonstrate the highest rates of student longitudinal academic growth and enroll a student population that is at least seventy-five percent at risk.
This program was authorized by the legislature in 2009, to recognize and reward the success of those schools that produce outstanding academic growth, even in the face of significant challenges. The award comes with $5175 for use within the school.

Dwight Jones, Colorado Commissioner of Education, said in a letter addressed to the Superintendent and to Principal LoraLi Chaney,  “I commend  Carlile Elementary School for being one of the first recipients of this prestigious honor.”
